About Domenica Moran
Domenica Moran is an associate of Appiah Law | Employment + Labour Counsel.
Domenica knew when she applied to law school that building strong relationships with her clients and listening to their needs was the key to achieving advantageous and practical results. Her desire to work with people led her to the ever-changing area of employment law, where she is pursuing her love of problem-solving and advocacy.
Domenica joined Appiah Law as an associate after articling and summering at a boutique labour and employment firm, where she assisted on a wide variety of employment law matters. She has experience helping small and large businesses, as well as employees, to navigate a variety of workplace challenges such as wrongful dismissals, human rights breaches, and employment standards compliance.
Domenica obtained her law degree from Queen’s University Faculty of Law and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2020. Before entering law school, Domenica completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction and her Master of Arts in English at the University of Toronto.
While in law school, Domenica instructed nearly 100 undergraduate students enrolled in an introductory Canadian law course, and introduced numerous student-led dance acts to the stage as Co-Emcee for the Queen’s Law annual fundraising event – Cabaret for a Cure – which raised thousands of dollars for cancer research every year. Domenica was also awarded second place at the 2018 Walsh Family Negotiations Moot Competition, and served on the Orientation Committee as Events Co-Chair.
In her spare time, Domenica is a passionate cook and strives to make entirely homemade meals from scratch.
